Social media content creator


The Social Media Content Creator volunteer will be instrumental in shaping the online presence and engagement strategy of the Gala. They will be responsible for conceptualising, creating, and scheduling compelling content across various social media platforms to promote the event, engage with the audience, and drive participation and support.

Responsibilities

Develop creative and engaging content tailored to each social media platform (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) to effectively promote the Gala.

Collaborate closely with the Marketing Coordinator to align content with overall branding, messaging, and objectives.

Create a content calendar outlining the schedule for posts, ensuring consistency and variety in content types (e.g., graphics, videos, event updates).

Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages promptly, and engage with the audience to foster interaction.

Stay updated on social media trends, best practices, and platform algorithms to optimise content performance and reach.

Time Commitment

The volunteer will be expected to commit approximately 5 hours per week to the role in the 6 months leading up to the gala, and 2 hours a week to the role in the 1 month following the gala.
